Construction of the outer shell of a 120-meter-high reinforced concrete chimney using the tapered slipform method as part of the Khabat Thermal Power Plant Unit 1&2 project in Erbil, Iraq. The chimney features a unique geometry, reducing from a base diameter of 16 meters to 11.9 meters within approximately 45 meters, followed by a cylindrical continuation. Slipform works were carried out under high-temperature and challenging site conditions using a formwork system adaptable to varying geometries.
